École John Wilson Elementary Schoolis the school to start the French immersion journey for students in Innisfail. We begin our French immersion journey in Kindergarten and carry through this strong language learning experience into École Innisfail High School.

French immersion is a program in which French is the language of instruction for a significant part of the school day; that is, several or all subjects are taught in French. Immersion is designed for students whose first language is not French. The objective is full mastery of the English language, functional fluency in French, as well as an understanding and appreciation of the French culture.
