Welcome to École John Wilson Elementary!

I am very excited to be the principal of such a wonderful school. Throughout my career in CESD, I have had the privilege of being a teacher, a vice-principal and principal at John Wilson and have loved every moment of it! I have a passion for education and lifelong learning and believe the love of learning starts early. Fostering this for our little learners is one of our most important jobs!

I am honoured to work with our dedicated staff of teachers, administrative support, and educational assistants who care deeply about creating a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment for our students. We truly want to make a difference for all children by encouraging them, believing in them, and challenging them. The relationship between home and school is so important, as we share the goal of supporting the social, emotional and academic growth and development of your child(ren). We are so lucky to be supported by such a generous and caring community of parents and families.

A little bit about myself...I live in the community of Innisfail and my family and I enjoy the many opportunities that Innisfail has to offer. Some of the things I enjoy outside of school are reading, traveling (mostly without planes), volunteering, kayaking and of course spending time with my family! A little known fact is that I actually attended John Wilson as a student from kindergarten to grade four…and one of my kindergarten classroom EAs is still here!

Thank you for sharing your most loved little people with all of us at John Wilson! I am looking forward to another great year of connecting with our students, staff and families. I hope to see you at the school for some of the many volunteering opportunities, our Celebration Assemblies, School Council meetings, and even just for a visit!
